No freedom of speech for the politically incorrect Clint Eastwood

Censorship is a nasty concept for Hollywood entertainment liberals/progressives who mouth mightily about free speech.  Except when they impose censorship against those who don't follow the Hollywood liberal party line.

Clint Eastwood is one of the most out conservatives in the Hollywood entertainment scene – a person whose politics  most definitely do not fit in with the P.C. thought of the week.  True to form, he made a mild comment about the liberals' latest icon: Caitlyn (né Bruce) Jenner.  It did not meet their standards.

Hollywood Life tells the story in its own one-sided way.

Clint Eastwood Disses Caitlyn Jenner At Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards

This is so disappointing. While introducing Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards on June 6, Clint Eastwood totally mocked Caitlyn Jenner. On a positive note, the crowd groaned and refused to laugh at the insensitive joke. Find out all the details here.

Clint Eastwood now joins the ever-growing list of celebrities who have mocked Caitlyn Jenner, 65, since her transition. During the taping of Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards on June 6, the 85-year-old dissed Caitlyn while introducing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It was really insensitive and we hope it’s not included in the show, when it airs on June 18.

As Clint was introducing The Rock, he compared the San Andreas star to former athletes who have become actors, like “Jim Brown and Caitlyn Somebody…,” according to an eyewitness. Instead of laughing, the crowd groaned, and Clint said that he knew the joke wouldn’t work when he brought it up to the show’s producers. (You think?!)

For Caitlyn’s sake, as well as the transgender community as a whole, we hope the insensitive joke is cut from the version that will be broadcast on June 18.

Hollywood Life's wish was granted.

UPDATE: Spike TV tells HollywoodLife.com, “We will remove the [Caitlyn Jenner] reference in the version that will air.”

What do you think, HollywoodLifers?  Should Clint Eastwood apologize for his Caitlyn Jenner diss?

Well, Hollywood Life, since you asked, I think you should apologize to Eastwood.  Folks, this is Hollywood, the land of fakery, of make-believe, all based on publicity.  For Hollywood, the more outrageous, the better.

Jenner is not a hothouse flower needing childish safe spaces, immune from Hollywood publicity.  Indeed, for the past few years his/her career and her/his family's careers have been based on flagrant publicity and mockery.  They are beyond parody; they are a parody of a parody of a parody.   They thrive on publicity; their life is publicity and mockery.   Eastwood's comment merely noted the over the top publicity generated by Jenner's uhm transition.  Eastwood's comment is not in the "totally mocked" category, it was an acknowledgment of the drenching publicity Jenner received.

Hollywood Life admires Jenner, stating  "What she’s doing is so heroic, and it requires a lot of courage. We think she’s an inspiration."  You want heroism, courage and inspiration?  Try Clint Eastwood.  Eastwood is the inspiration; making that comment to a bunch of narrow minded liberals would be so heroic and for anyone else would require a lot of courage.  But Eastwood has it.  After all, his Empty Chair Obama speech at the Republic National Convention almost three years ago was not only an inspiration and heroic, it was imaginative and prophetic.  It should set the standard for brave political speeches.

He was mocked, he was chastised, he was criticized.  But Eastwood, being Eastwood, didn't care.  He just continued speaking out, making movies, making money.  Cut his comment and liberals reduce themselves even more; proving their inability to accept diversity of thought, their irrelevance.

Deal with it Hollywood Liberals.
