A smug Tavis Smiley asks Bill O'Reilly how may incidents make a pattern

On Wednesday, talk show host Tavis Smiley debated Bill O'Reilly on  the anti-police movement. Admittedly, Tavis Smiley is alot slicker(and richer) than your garden variety "F***k the police" activists prancing in the streets, shutting down bridges and yelling "black lives matter." But he's spreading the same excrement they are, he just covers it up with a suit, tie and pretty words. Like Obama's former green jobs czar Van Jones, Smiley can go from talking “street" to “elite" without skipping a syllable.

O'Reilly must be enamored of guys like Smiley because the Fox host could have driven a truck through the holes in Smiley's argument. When O'Reilly insisted the majority of law enforcement officers are doing a great job, and cited statistics on black men killed by white police officers, Smiley told him this rationale relegated situations like the Walter Scott shooting in North Charleston to the "isolated incident" category.

Then Smiley asked, "How many isolated incidents equal a pattern?"

"Impossible question to answer," said O'Reilly.

"Now you're dodging," said Smiley.

Come on Bill. You had a perfect chance to go all Jack Nicholson on Smiley and blew it.

The proper response?

"You're damn right there's a pattern because you and your friends helped create it, Mr. Smiley"

The anti-police crusade has been going on in earnest since the 1960's and it is not about stopping black thugs from getting shot by white policemen. Heavens, if that happens the bamboozlers would be out of business. The more the merrier for the so-called civil rights con men like Smiley, and his buddies communist Carl Dix and Princeton Professor Cornel West.

Paradoxically, members of the black intelligensia, white leftists, communist groups and whacko preachers demand full social, political and economic equality for blacks, all things which are rooted in a stable family structure, the same structure their insane policies have managed to burn to the ground.

Dodge that, Mr. Smiley.

In fact,  that's all Smiley does is dodge reality. He can afford to, he gets to go home to his elegant, gated community in Los Angeles. Too bad police officers in cities like North Charleston, Detroit, Oakland, Birmingham, and Camden don't have that luxury. Instead, they get to  deal with the violent, psychotic, dysfunctional fallout of Smiley and his cohorts eternal march toward social justice. Shouldn’t they be making $10 million?

Smiley doesn’t care. Cops are bad, criminals are victims. When O’Reilly pointed out more whites are killed by cops than blacks, Smiley was ready:

…as you said earlier, there are far more white people maimed by cops every day in this country than black people, and this is why this ought to be a concern for all Americans – not a color-coded issue,” Smiley continued. “We’ve got to respect and revel in the humanity of all citizens.

This is a color-coded issue for the duplicitous Smiley. Like all of his far-left, black radical revolutionary heroes, he thinks white cops are the enemy not the "precious, young" thugs beating the hell out of innocent whites, shooting other blacks in their neighborhoods, ambushing law officers, and roughing up teachers.

How ludicrous to suggest if only the police would show "respect" for those shouting "What do we want? Dead cops." the killing would stop.

If only Smiley would tell the truth for once, that only a fundamental transformation of black thug culture will reduce the number of blacks being shot dead, then we might be able to “revel in their humanity.”
