Mizzou Crew: The Liars Who Hate the Lie of Academic Freedom

The difference between “safe spaces” in today’s U.S. and yesterday’s U.S.S.R., other than the name, is the size. Here they’re tiny areas on some college campuses. In the Soviet Union they were every place apart from the tiny areas called gulags. One could also ponder how, while the Soviets were somewhat less euphemistic than their American progeny, it’s no stretch to say their insane asylum outside the gulags was also a “safe space.” To exist, any lie-based ideology needs a sheltered area — even if it’s only inside a person’s own cranium — that is safe…from Truth. Alarm at the Safe Spacers’ space-between-the-ears ideology is wholly justified.
